A PIONEER CALLED NOAH

Relentless hot wind blows. Exhausted, old Noah Urged by something he knows Hastens to drive the plough. At night, heads for his hut, Wipes sweat from his brow. Waking him in the dark Cruel dreams erode his toil To spinifex and dust. He steals to his pegged soil Symmetry reassured. Experts called him a fool; Too far in, a flat heart Out there salt and drought rule. Then it rained biblically, The experts were confused… His skeleton was found Mouth wide open, amused!
